§ 5.44.040. Officers—Meetings—Record.

  • A.

    Annual nomination and election of board officers will be held each year at the January meeting with those elected taking office to serve a one-year term, or until a successor takes office, at the next regular meeting. Elections will be conducted with successful candidates receiving a majority vote. Officers are eligible for re-election. Any officer vacancy will be filled by election of the board.

    B.

    The board will meet the second Tuesday of each month. The meeting dates and times may be established or changed by the board chairperson and chief building official. A majority of the voting members of the board constitutes a quorum for the transaction of business. A majority vote of members present is required for the approval of any matter before the board.

    C.

    The chief building official, or designee, will serve as clerk of the board and will keep a record of meeting minutes and, upon request, will furnish a copy to the governing body.
