§ 9.12.090. Skateboards and similar devices prohibited.

    Authority. Pursuant to the authority granted cities and towns by Wyo. Stat. Section 15-1-101 et seq., Wyo. Stat. Section 31-5-109 and the city's home rule powers, the use of skateboards, roller skates, in-line skates or similar devices in the public right-of-way in the central business district as defined herein, is permitted. The use of such devices is not permitted on private property in the central business district without the written permission of the landowner. In addition, such uses are prohibited on public property unless the property is signed permitting such use.

    B.

    Definitions. As used in this section, the following terms are defined:

    "Central business district" means the area bounded by union pacific railroad tracks on the south, 24th Street on the north, Bent Avenue on the west and Evans on the east.

    C.

    Penalties. The penalties for violation of this section shall be as follows:

    For a first offense, a fine not to exceed seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00) and/or six months in jail, as determined by the municipal court.
