§ 8.40.060. Food service establishments—Business license and food service permit required.

  • Any person who wishes to operate a food service establishment in the city must first obtain a license from the city clerk and have, or have applied and paid for, a valid food service license or temporary food service permit from the Cheyenne-Laramie County health department. A separate application fee, including any applicable annual renewal fee, assessed and collected by the health department, is required in conjunction with the health department's license or permit. The health officer may also require a site plan, with an accompanying fee, be submitted by the applicant for review and approval. Inspection of premises by the health officer and other city representatives designated by the city clerk is required. The annual nonrefundable city licensing fee for food service establishments will be one hundred fifteen dollars ($115.00) per year. Licenses issued are effective for one year from the date of issuance.
