§ 8.40.010. Purpose—Authority—General provisions.

  • A.

    The purpose of this chapter is to protect the public health, safety and welfare of the community by licensing and regulating the operations and activities of food services and food handling practices within the city.

    B.

    Pursuant to the authority granted cities and towns by Wyo. Stat. Section 15-1-103(a)(v), the licensing and regulating of food services, including food service establishments, food stands, pushcarts, mobile food trucks, mobile food units, and temporary parade vendors are governed by this chapter.

    C.

    The general provisions of Chapter 5.04, including suspension and revocation procedures, apply in the application and issuance of licenses and permits required under this chapter.

    D.

    Minors under the age of eighteen (18) years operating a beverage stand selling lemonade, iced tea or similar beverages on property owned, leased or rented by their parents or legal guardians are exempt from the provisions of this chapter.
