§ 5.68.010. Purpose—Authority—General provisions.

    The general purpose of this chapter is to regulate the application of human body art within the city and to provide for the health, safety, interest and general welfare of the citizens of the city. Included in this chapter is the city's authority to license and permit persons and individuals who engage in the business of a body art establishment and the application of human body art, authorize the Cheyenne-Laramie County board of health to promulgate rules and regulations, and procedures for the application of human body art.

    B.

    Pursuant to the authority granted cities and towns by Wyo. Stat. Section 15-1-103, the application of human body art is governed by this chapter.

    C.

    The city clerk is authorized to require supporting documentation with applications for a license and permit issued under this chapter. Prior to issuance of any license, on-site inspections will be conducted on the proposed premises to be utilized for a body art establishment.

    Inspecting officials of the city, including the health officer or his representative, are authorized to enter licensed, as well as unlicensed, body art establishments during regular business hours to make reasonable inspections to enforce compliance with the regulations and procedures set forth in this chapter.
