§ 5.36.010. Purpose—Authority—General provisions.

    The purpose of this chapter is to regulate, license, permit and monitor public addresses, entertainment and advertising on public property, and activities and operations affiliated with carnivals, circuses, and amusement rides, including carnival games, conducted within the city.

    B.

    Authority is granted cities and towns by Wyo. Stat. Sections 15-1-103 and 33-6-101 through 104 to license, inspect and regulate carnivals and circuses.

    C.

    The chief of police, or his or her designee(s), is authorized to pre-inspect any carnival game to determine its nature and acceptability. In addition, the chief of police, or his or her designee, is authorized to close any amusement ride not in compliance with Section 5.36.070.
