§ 5.04.020. Definitions.

The following definitions shall apply in the interpretation and enforcement of this chapter and Chapter 5.08:

"License" or "permit" means the authority granted by the city to a person to engage in a specific business or occupation, or to conduct an event for which a license or permit is required. Unless otherwise provided by city code or state law, each license and permit issued shall contain a facsimile signature of the mayor and city clerk under the city emblem.
